Asia map by Johannes Honter 1542. A rare, Rennaisance period cartographic manuscript (a map or associated with maps), produced in 1542 by Johannes Honter. The manuscript is hand-colored in pastel or muted tones of red, blue, yellow, and green, producing nice rose shades, golds, and other intermediate tones. This manuscript can be viewed in the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University.
