1960 Chevy Corvette Headlight and Grill Abstract. In this horizontal abstract, the aggressive grill, bumper, and headlight of the 1960 Chevrolet Corvette are shown in part, hinting at the beauty of the whole. The mirrored finish of the chrome reflects the blue of the sky, complimenting the cool turquoise paint of the car. The sunlight gleams off of the metal, with natural diffraction patterns (due to the use of a small aperture) producing starbursts where the sun glints the brightest. Though the light is strong and direct, the contrast is well-controlled, revealing a lot of detail. The deep depth of field yields good focus across the frame. This era of ‘Vette were some of the most beautiful. The Chevrolet Corvette was introduced in 1953, using the then-revolutionary fiberglass body. Only a few hundred were built that first model year.
