1940 Ford Pickup Grill Abstract. In this abstract horizontal composition, the sweeping lines of a classic 1940 Ford Pickup truck grill gently reflect the surroundings. This classic car chrome abstract is sort of study in subtle contrasts. The deep, rich reds of the paint contrast subtly with the reflective surface of the paint, blue sky and other-colored surroundings tinted in its mirrored surface. The lines of the grill slats are generally straight and parallel, subtly contrasted with slight curves and sweeping lines. The painted forms curves of the body contrast with the more angular shapes and colors of the brighter chrome at the grill�s center. The bright chrome angled lines of the hood edge work with the curved angles of the front fenders to add a greater sense of motion to the image, contrasting with the more static sense imparted by the repeating straighter lines.
